In honor of Tennessee Financial Literacy Week Financial Federal Bank is holding a Financial Literacy Workshop on April 11 at the Orange Mound Community Services Center.

Financial Federal’s Community Development Officer Gerre Currie will lead a free workshop from 9-10 a.m. regarding safe and smart banking, protection from financial scams, and how to detect and prevent financial abuse. Complimentary refreshments will be provided for attendees.

“For many of us, our comfort relies on our ability to safeguard our financial independence,” said Currie. “We hope this workshop can further our mission of community service and customized banking solutions by offering smart ways to protect and better control your assets.”

Tennessee Financial Literacy Week is a new campaign launched this year by the Tennessee Bankers Association to educate people of all ages about many different aspects of financial literacy, including using credit wisely, saving, avoiding targeted scams, and smart investing. The first full week of April each year has been officially designated as Tennessee Financial Literacy Week.
